If you are traveling, this is a great short story book to carry with you in your briefcase or purse. Written by India's best loved author - Ruskin Bond, 'The Night Train At Deoli' and Other Stories, is a fascinating book written by a brilliantly absorbing mind, sketching India's beauty with his words whilst offering picturesque and affectionate accounts of people who, consciously or otherwise need each other; people in love or in need of love, the awkward adolescent and the timid lover. The book also silently mourns the gradually diminishing beauty of the hills of India (and the gentle people living in them) being bogged down to demands of the concrete world. Courtesy: Penguin Books
