Mishti the Mirzapuri Labrador

by Gillian Wright

English 128 pages 1 edition

‘Mishti had worked out for herself how to get people out of bed in the morning. You could be lying happily asleep and Mishti would hop up beside you, and lie with her full weight across your stomach. If that failed, she would climb on your chest and lick your face.’ Mishti, a little golden Labrador born in Mirzapur on the banks of the Ganga, is adopted by two people from Delhi, called Gilly and Mark. It is the beginning of many adventures they will have, indoors and outdoors, as they learn to live together and become a family. Full of love, mischief and great charm, told in gloriously readable prose and complemented with delightful illustrations, this is a book for dog-lovers and story-lovers of all ages.
